Following the successful trend since the 1^st China International Conference on Surface Engineering (C-ICSE) held in Shanghai in 1997, the 6^th C-ICSE will be held in Xi’an from May 10 to 13, 2011. The C-ICSE 2011 is co-organized by the Surface Engineering Sub-Society of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES) and for the first time by the International Federation for Heat Treatment and Surface Engineering (IFHTSE). The conference will focus on and promote academic exchange, industry applications, as well as future development in the field. Scientists, engineers, and younger researchers in the field of surface engineering both in China and abroad are welcomed to attend the conference.  

This conference is sponsored by the State-Key Laboratory for Mechanical Behavior of Materials and the International Surface Engineering R&D Center of Xi’an Jiaotong University, and co-sponsored by Wuhan Institute of Materials Protection, National-Key Laboratory for Remanufacturing, Lanzhou Institute of Chemical Physics of the CAS, the Surface Engineering Sub-Society of the Shaanxi Mechanical Engineering Society and Beijing Power Technical Development Co.
